Super9MM vs Manual LP

A head-to-head look at automated LPing versus managing a concentrated position by hand.

Managing a concentrated-liquidity position by hand is possible — but it puts you in a race you can't win against software. Here's the honest comparison.

The limits of manual LPing

  • Reaction time. Price can leave your range in seconds. By the time you notice, react, and confirm a transaction, you've already missed fees (or worse).
  • 24/7 attention. Markets don't sleep. Manual LPing means watching positions at 3am, on weekends, while traveling.
  • Execution speed & consistency. Every manual rebalance is a multi-step transaction. Do it tired or rushed and you misprice the range or eat slippage.
  • Emotion. Fear and greed make people widen ranges at the worst time, or hold a losing position past their own stop.
  • Opportunity cost. Time spent managing ranges is time not spent finding the next opportunity.

Where manual still makes sense

Super9MM is automation, not magic. You should understand what you're doing:

  • You still choose the pool, range width, direction, and thresholds. Super9MM executes your strategy — it doesn't pick it for you.
  • Automation has costs (gas per action, swap fees on rebalances). On a tiny or very stable position those costs can outweigh the benefit — see Fees & costs.
  • Automation can't remove impermanent loss; it manages it. See Reducing IL.

The takeaway

Manual LPing asks you to be faster, more attentive, and more disciplined than a machine — forever. Super9MM lets you set the strategy once and have it executed continuously, while you keep full custody. That's the whole point.
